Warfarin no longer recommended for most atrial fibrillation cases

The anti-clotting drug warfarin, commonly known as coumadin, is no longer recommended for the treatment of atrial fibrillation except for a select subset of patients, according to new guidelines just released by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
